Circuit boards are at the heart of the electronics industry. Although they are continuously getting smaller, their power must increase to meet quality expectations. From development to manufacturing and quality monitoring, state-of-the-art processes are used to improve product quality while decreasing manufacturing time and lowering production costs. A key part of the process is non-contact temperature measurement using thermal imagers and pyrometers.
Using infrared cameras with microscope optics as well as high performance infrared thermometers, the smallest measurement areas or spots can be detected (28 µm). This way, single components and junctions can be checked for heating spots or heat impacts.
